If you’ve ever been curious about what a bridal hairstylist really packs for wedding mornings — you’re in the right place. I'm here to share EVERY single item that I take to a wedding with me.
After years of styling hundreds of brides and bridal parties, I’ve gone through my fair share of kits, products, and tools. My bag has evolved a lot over the years — trial and error, discovering new holy grails, retiring old favorites — but at this point, it’s pretty locked down.
So whether you’re a fellow bridal hairstylist building your kit or a curious bride who just loves to peek behind the scenes — here’s a full look inside my bridal bag. No gatekeeping here — these are the exact products, tools, and little lifesavers that come with me to every wedding morning.
Just a heads up — if you decide to add any of these items to your life and click on the link I’ve shared, I might earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It simply helps support me in creating more resources like this one for you.
My Favorite Bridal Hairstylist Travel Bags
This is currently my go-to rolling bridal hairstylist kit bag — perfect for organizing all my wedding-day essentials and tools. I’ve had it since March 2023 and absolutely love it.
Before this, I used a larger suitcase-style kit (which I still really love, to be honest). Looking back, I definitely needed that bigger setup when I was trying out tons of products and figuring out what worked best for me. At that time, I wanted to have everything with me — every
tool, spray, and backup option. Now that I’ve done so many weddings and really know what I use most, I’ve been loving this smaller, more curated bag. It’s lightweight, organized,
and so easy to roll around — a total game-changer for those long wedding mornings.
That said, I could totally see myself going back to my larger bag for next season or even switching between the two depending on the wedding. Sometimes I’m in the mood for the “travel light” setup, and other times I want to bring the whole arsenal.
Honestly, you can’t go wrong with either — it just depends on your vibe and what kind of stylist you are.
Hair Tools I Can’t Live Without

My absolute ride-or-die hot tool — the one that never leaves my bridal bag — is my GHD Soft Curl 1.25" Curling Iron.
It’s hands down my favorite hot tool I’ve ever owned. I’ve gone through so many over the years, and nothing compares to how smooth, consistent, and reliable this one is. It heats up quickly, holds temperature perfectly, and feels high-end in every single detail — from the clamp tension to the sleek handle and balanced weight.
I don’t have a single complaint about it. Not one. It’s the definition of an investment tool that’s actually worth it. I'm absolutely obsessed with it and recommend it to everyone!!

The Bio Ionic Long Barrel Curling Iron has been in my kit from the very beginning — and for good reason. It creates absolutely gorgeous curls and waves every single time. The extended barrel is such a game-changer, especially when working with long hair. It makes curling faster, smoother, and just overall easier when you’re doing multiple bridal party members in a row.
That said, I have to be honest — as much as I love how it performs, I’ve found it’s not the most durable tool. I’ve had to replace mine pretty much every bridal season. On one, the tip broke off; on another, the cord went bad. They just don’t seem to hold up quite as well as I’d hope for the price point.
But even with that, it still earns a spot in my bridal bag because when it’s working, it works beautifully. It’s one of those tools that I genuinely enjoy using — I just wish it were built a little tougher.
My current blow dryer in my kit is the Shark Air Styler — and it’s been doing a great job! But
here’s a slightly sad story… I used to have the Dyson, and I loved that thing. But sometime earlier this year, I’m pretty sure I left it behind at a wedding. I haven’t seen it in months, so I just started using my personal blow dryer — the Shark — instead.
It does get super hot, so I never go above the second heat setting. But it’s powerful, lightweight, and easy to travel with — all the things I need for busy bridal mornings.
That said, I don’t feel super attached to it. When it eventually dies, I’ll definitely be open to trying something new — especially because people always end up borrowing my blow dryer on wedding days. Someone’s hair is always still damp, and honestly, I never mind when they ask to use it. But that’s exactly why I probably won’t buy another Dyson anytime soon — it’s just way too stressful worrying about a $400 blow dryer floating around the room. The Shark works, and I don’t have to panic if someone grabs it for a quick touch-up.
